Mullet Be Gone!

After several weeks of Myla's hair driving me crazy, I finally took her to get it cut. She was definitely sporting a mullet. Thank goodness it is gone now! She did much better than she did a couple of months ago at her first haircut. A dum dum sucker did the trick! By the time she was finished with the sucker, Susan was done cutting her hair, and it looks so much better! Here are some pictures of the results.

Myla's Favorite Christmas Candy...

Wow! It has been so long since I have last posted, I am trying to go back and see what has gone on since then! I am going to start with these pictures. Myla has discovered this Christmas that she loves candy canes! She has only had two, but she has thoroughly enjoyed them!!! Needless to say, they make a bit of a mess and they are not the best for her teeth, but I guess you have to indulge them every once in a while!

Going Crazy....

Hello...my name is Meredith, and I am addicted to time on the computer.
I have come to realize this after my computer quit working on Wednesday. For some reason, it won't turn on. Well, actually it will turn on, but after a few minutes, it just turns back off. UGH!! I am taking it today to my friend who works on computers to see if he can tell me what is wrong with it. I hope it is nothing major, but I just wanted to let the blog world know that I won't be able to update until I get my computer fixed. I hope that I don't lose everything on my computer....how many times have I told myself, "I better back up all my pictures, documents, etc. in case my computer crashes", but have I done it? NO! A good many of my pictures are uploaded to Snapfish, so it wouldn't be a complete wash, thank goodness! But, I still would lose a good bit, but I guess it will teach me my lesson to back everything up!
Okay, until my computer is back, I am out of commission!!!!!!

Get Well Wishes for Sae Sae...

Michael's mom, or Sae Sae, had the stomach virus this weekend, so Myla and I wanted to send her get well wishes this morning! We sure hope you are feeling better, Sae Sae. We love you! Here are some pictures from our "Get Well Wishes" photo shoot. The sign didn't last long as you can tell!!

Random but Cute...

Yesterday Myla and I met several other mommies and babies to take a picture for our doctor, Dr. Williams. He has delivered so many babies of my friends and we wanted to take a picture for him. When I get the picture of everyone, I will post it. I was excited that my friend, Heatherlea, took this picture of me and Myla. I never have any pictures of me and Myla together, so thanks Heatherlea!
Last night we went and had dinner at the Burchfields and while Myla was eating she started putting her nuggets and fries into one of Phillip's John Deere lunchbox Christmas ornaments. She would put them in there, close it, and take them out and eat them. You never know what is going through their little heads!!
Next she started playing peek-a-boo with the box...Where's Myla?
There she is!!

Poor Tanner was being the good sport this morning when Myla decided he would be a good prop for her shoes.
Here she is in the act...
All done...doesn't he look great?

Ready for the NFL?

I was trying to entertain Myla tonight before bath time so I gave her one of Michael's "skull caps" that he runs in that one of his friends that worked with the Carolina Panthers brought him. She kept wanting me to put it on just so she could take it off. I don't know...what do you think? I think she would definitely be the cutest player in the League!

Yummy, Yummy, Yummy for my Tummy, Tummy, Tummy...

Another thing that I picked up on my visit from Tamah was a recipe for homemade granola. It is delicious, and I think would made a great holiday happy for teachers, neighbors, etc. It makes a lot. I had 4 big cookie sheets full. Here is the recipe. Let me know if you try it!
Homemade Granola:
10 cups old fashioned oats
2 cups grapenuts
2 cups wheat bran
2 cups wheat germ
2 cups coconut
2 cups chopped pecans
1 cup ground flax seed
1 tbls. cinnamon
1 tbls. vanilla
2 cups honey
1 1/2 cups oil
Mix dry ingredients well. In separate bowl mix honey, oil and vanilla. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and stir until your arm feels like it is going to fall off! Seriously though, make sure that it is mixed really well. Put on cookie sheets and bake on 325 degrees for 5-10 minutes or until edges begin to brown. It will still feel soft but will harden as it cools. Let it cool COMPLETELY before you take it off cookie sheet. I actually set mine outside to cool so it would cool faster. When cooled break up and store.
It is so good in yogurt or you can eat it like cereal. I personally like it just plain, and I will say that it has been addictive! Hey, at least it is healthy. Hope you will try it!
