Making a Fashion Statement...

I think she has good fashion sense...don't you?

Is My Tongue a Little Discolored??

I just thought this picture was hysterical. Myla had some new kind of gummies that turned her tongue bright blue!

Weekend at Mimi & Bodie's....

I am playing catch up since it has been so long!
Last weekend Myla and I headed to Mimi and Bodie's house because Michael was in Birmingham all weekend for a conference. We missed him so much, but we did have a great time with Mimi and Bodie, as always! I was not very good at taking pictures, but I thought I would at least put the (very) few that I took on here! Thanks to Mimi and Bodie for letting us come and stay for 3 nights!
Myla and Henry waiting for Bodie to come in...they were SO excited to see him. If you don't believe me, just watch the video at the bottom of this post! So sweet!
Henry and Myla up on the BIG bed! They are finally at a stage where they love to play together and get along so well!
Watching the dinosaur video and following along in the book.
On Saturday we went to Burger King for lunch. Henry and Myla wanted to sit up on the big stools, so Bodie sat up there with them. I thought they looked so cute sitting up there.
Myla, Bodie and Henry

Can you tell they were just a little excited??

"Choir" Practice...

As I mentioned a couple of posts ago, Myla loves to play "church" here at the house. Well, part of that entails going to choir practice. I finally caught some pictures and video of her and Michael at choir practice. She was so serious about it! I took it to church on Wednesday night to show our choir director, and he got the biggest kick out of it. He said she was definitely a future choir member!
Don't you love how her hymnal is one of my billfolds! Anything will work when you use your imagination!

Singing her little heart out....
Let me add, we had no clue as to what she was singing. I'm guessing it was total improvision on her part! She knows lots of songs, but I guess she just wanted to make one up as she went!

Here is a little music for your listening pleasure!

Wanted: Static Guard

Is anyone else having this problem with all of the cold weather? Our house is full of static electricity...especially our couch! When Myla plays on the couch, her hair stands straight up. I finally got some pictures of it today.
It's starting to stand up...
...a little more...
...hysterical!
Notice her "chap lipstick" as she calls it! She loves to carry it around and put it in her pocket if she has one! Too funny what she gets attached to.

SNOW!!!!

You know we LOVE to see snow in Mississippi because we don't get to see it very often. Michael got a text message from Ole Miss this morning that he didn't have to go to work, so I knew we would have a fun day playing in the snow. When Myla woke up, I told her to go look outside. When she looked out the back door, she turned around and said, "Snow...I want to go play in it!" So, as soon as we ate breakfast, we all bundled up and headed outside. I wasn't sure how much Myla would really like it because she is not crazy about being wet or dirty, but SHE loved it. In fact, everytime we came in she didn't want to come and after a few minutes, she was begging to go back outside. It was so much fun to watch her have such a good time! Things through a child's eyes are so sweet!
Looking out the window first thing this morning to see the snow!
All bundled up and ready to go. Daddy was all bundled up too. Just to let you know, he said that Under Armour tights and long sleeved dry fit shirts really work! He stayed warm!
With everything on...turtleneck, long sleeved shirt, tights, lined overalls, two coats, hat, boots, and gloves. I can't imagine if I had to dress her like this everyday!
Headed out...
Laughing at Daddy getting Mommy with a snowball...he is ruthless!
Chasing Daddy through the snow.
Haley and Susan came over to play too. They were working on our snowman.
Having so much fun!
She got pretty good at throwing snowballs at Daddy. She would just squeal everytime she threw one at him, whether it actually hit or not!
Haley wasn't too sure about the cold snow!
Catching snow flakes on her tongue!
Susan and Haley
Trying to tackle Daddy!
Our pitiful "Mississippi" snowman...
Obvisously she didn't mind being cold and wet!
Haley and Myla making snow angels!
Myla catching snowflakes on her tongue!
Laughing at Daddy!
Two peas in a pod!
Mommy and Myla. I did have gloves on but took them off when taking pictures. And, yes, my hands were freezing!
On our second outing of the morning, we headed over to Haley's house to ride in their cars.
She loves driving the "Beetle". Haley is letting us use it since she got a new Barbie jeep for Christmas.
Uh oh...collision! They were hysterical driving these cars...out of control!!!!!
At least she keeps her eyes on the road!
Driving home again to thaw out!
On our THIRD outing we went down to Phillip and Ellyn's house to play with them.
Michael and Myla ran pretty much the whole way!
Phillip making a snow angel.
Getting a snowball ready to throw at somebody!
A lot of the neighborhood kids were out, and they all had SO much fun!
Making one last snow ball before we headed in for lunch!
Once we finally came in for good, we ate lunch and Myla and I took a LONG nap. She slept almost 3 1/2 hours...bless her heart, she was obviously pooped from playing so hard in the snow!

Oh my...

Myla went with me to my prenatal check up appointment today....I will continue that story in a minute, but when we got home she told Michael that Dr. Williams was coming in to check on her baby. She then proceeded to lie down on the floor and raise her shirt up so he could check her "baby". Oh my goodness...probably not the best idea to take her with me.
Anyway, back to the drama of the appointment. Dr. Williams' office is usually really good at staying on time so you don't have to wait a long time. Well, my appointment was later in the afternoon today, and they were really busy. Anyway, the longer we wait, I begin to think this could really become a problem with Myla tagging along. After we were there a little while, Myla starts acting crazy running around, jumping up and down AND telling me her tummy hurts. OH NO is what immediately goes through my head. Myla is still having issues with pooping on the potty (sorry Myla if you are reading this later in your life!), but anyway, I know when she starts acting like this we are about to have some problems. If we are at home, it's no big deal, but when does anything like this ever happen when you are at home, right? So, to spare you most of the details...in the amount of time we were there, 2 hours, she has two major blow outs...yes, we had to change clothes and all of that. It was a bit stressful to say the least. Not to mention it was a little difficult keeping her contained in the small examination room. Good grief! I think Myla has seen the last of her visits with me to the doctor!
As for Selah, she looks great! She is growing and developing right on track. She weighs approximately 3 lbs 3 oz. Her legs are still measuring really long, and Dr. Williams says that she has a lot of hair. I guess we will see! I now start going every two weeks. Time has already been flying, but I know now it is really going to be gone in a flash. Little Selah will be here before we know it! Lord, prepare me!!!!!

First Day of Mother's Morning Out...

Myla started Mother's Morning Out at our church today. She was so excited about it and from all accounts, she did great. When I picked her up, she was so excited to tell me everything they had done. Most of the children in her class are the same as her friends in Sunday School, so she was so excited to see all of them. Also, my friends, Robyn and Lacy, are her teachers, so she was very comfortable with them as well. I am thankful that she is going because I have to admit, it is nice to have a little break during the week! Obviously, I will be able to use this time to get errands run and things done that would take me much longer if she were with me.
Ready to go!
I just can't get over hold big she is looking lately...man, time flies...
Big, cheesy smile!!!!

Fun With Daddy....

Most nights before bed Myla and Michael play like wild people! Last night, she was like a little jumping bean! Michael would lay on the ground and she would just run and jump up....thank goodness he was there to catch her everytime. She has NO FEAR when it comes to stuff like this.
Jump up and....
catch me Daddy!
Then he would catch her and flip her over....good grief! I was a nervous wreck watching them!!!

Princess in Training...

Myla loves to dress up! Yesterday a sweet little girl in our neighborhood brought Myla a Christmas present. It was a Disney princess accessory kit complete with a crown, earrings, bracelets and a necklace. Of course, we immediately opened it to try everything on. In no time she pulled down her trunk of dress up clothes to complete the ensemble! She had so much fun prancing around in her get up. Then, this morning she had to put on the accessories again and look at herself in the mirror!
Pretty princess in pink
Lovely look, don't you think?
And this morning looking at herself in the mirror! Vain, vain, vain!!!! I guess you can be vain when you are 2!
A close-up!
