Greek of Treat...

Tonight on campus, the sororities hosted "Greek or Treat". So Susan and I loaded Myla and Haley up and went in search of some candy! The girls had a great time
Myla in The Grove ready to trick "n" treat as she calls it! The other times she has had to dress up for this Halloween, she has been Cinderella, but tonight she wanted to be a fairy with wings. I'm not sure what she'll be on Sunday!
The girls running through The Grove headed to Sorority Row.
Waiting to cross the street...she was ready to get some candy!
Finally...the first house! She loved putting candy in her bag!
Susan was talking to someone, so while we waited, Myla rested on this shrub! HA!
I loved her wings!! When she put them on she said, "Mommy, since I have wings on, can I fly now?" Being the encouraging mom that I am, I responded, "Good luck!"
Myla and Haley taking a break from ALL the walking!
Happy girl to be looking through her candy. I think she ate half of it while trick or treating!
Proud of her milk duds! She's never had them, but you don't have to "teach" her to like ANY kind of candy!
When we would get to a wide open space the girls would just want to run. Myla was telling Haley, "Come on, Haley! Run fast so we can win!!"
They thought the bike rack made a great obstacle course!
This picture cracks me up because Haley was not wanting to cooperate for a picture!!
Love this one!!!
Haley and Mrs. Susan
Me and my favorite fairy!!!
After we got home, she came in and showed Michael all of her candy. He told her he was going to eat it all after she went to bed. Of course, she believed him and got all worried about it. I told Michael that she probably wouldn't be able to sleep because she was going to think he was eating all of her candy!!

Squeals...

The other morning Myla and Selah started "talking" to each other. I thought it was pretty cute, but let me warn you...Selah's squeal is high pitched so you might want to turn your speakers down! Ha!

Picture Day..

Wednesday was picture day at school, and I just had to snap a picture of Myla before we left home because I think she just looked exceptionally cute. Of course, being her mom, that is normal!!!! Can't wait to get the proof back from her "real" picture!

The Latimer House...

When Michael and I had been married for six months, we moved into The Latimer House on the campus of Mississippi College, our alma mater. We lived there for 2 years EXPENSE FREE. It was such a blessing from God that we were able to live there, both working full-time, with no living expenses. We certainly had our "moments" while living here. I have no doubt in my mind that the house is haunted, so if you ever want to hear those stories, just let me know. We had some responsibilities that came with the job, but it was such an amazing blessing.
This is The Latimer House. We lived on the second floor in an efficiency apartment.
Okay, so here is the point of the post... Today in the mail, Myla was sent this coloring book called "The Latimer House Mouse" from Lynndy Hurdle, another MC alum who went to homecoming this weekend and picked it up for Myla. It was so thoughtful and looking at it brought back lots of memories!! I will say The Latimer House did have a mouse (and a racoon), but it didn't look like the one on this coloring book! Ha!

Just thinking about this this afternoon just reminded me how richly God has covered us in His blessings! The Latimer House is just one example of that!

Thanks, Lynndy, for your thoughtfulness!

Flower Child...

I just had to share this picture of Selah!! Mrs. Sandy just got her this precious hat and flower, and Selah wore it today for the first time. L.O.V.E. it!!

Pumpkin Patch Take 2...

Today Myla's Mother's Morning Out class went to the pumpkin patch. I went to get some pictures, but my camera battery died after 2 pictures. Oh well, I did get this one, so I wanted to document her trip there with her class!

Thanks to my friend, Tamah, for the precious outift!!!

"Sleepover Campout"...

I'll get to the "sleepover campout" explanation in a minute...
Last night Michael and Myla had a date night to the volleyball and soccer games at Ole Miss. He has been telling some of the athletes he was going to come, so he finally decided to he would take Myla and hit 2 games in 1 one night. They had a great time!
Myla at the volleyball game with her pom pom that she later dropped under the bleachers at the soccer game along with Michael's $2.00 bottle of water. Ha!
This picture cracks me up! They had a jump house at the soccer game and, of course, Myla wanted to get in it - along with every other kid at the game!
Myla enjoyed pizza at the volleyball game and popcorn at the soccer game! She was not a happy camper when what was left of it was thrown away this morning! She is like a dumpster diver. I swear she checks the garbage can to make sure I haven't thrown her things away. This morning when she saw the popcorn in the trash can she sassily asked, "Who threw my popcorn away?" Ha! Michael took the blame!
Keeping a close guard on the popcorn!

Okay, so now on to the sleepover campout. Michael has been telling Michael we were going to camp out. We decided that we would start "camping out" in the living room before we moved on to the great outdoors. Myla was SO excited and Michael said she talked about it the whole time they were at the games. So, when they got home, we set up the "camp site".
Ready for the "sleepover campout"...that is what Myla named the event!
The set-up...Myla's twin mattress off of her bed (for Daddy), her princess couch (for her), and I slept on the couch. We were really roughing it, weren't we?? Poor Oskie was SO confused. He is such a creature of habit, so he had no idea what all the excitement in the den was about!
Oskie was hoping to get a snack!!
Ready to watch Snow White...Myla's choice, of course! After the movie, we turned the lights out, and Myla wanted to stay on the mattress with Michael. Well, Michael made it until about 1:30 am, then he went back to our bed! Myla slept until about 7:20, which is fairly late for her. Maybe we should let her sleep on the floor all the time!! I'm sure this will not be our last "sleepover campout"!!

Speaking of Time Flying...

These pictures were supposed to be on my last post, but I somehow deleted them!
It's crazy to think how in just 3 short years, Katie and I have gone from this (2 immobile babies) to...
...5 kids!!!!
This is the ONLY shot I got with all 5 kids in it (excuse my foot). As you can see, Selah was OVER the pumpkins and ready for a nap!

Pumpkin Patch...

This morning we made our long awaited trip to the pumpkin patch at the Episcopal Church. I look forward to the first of October every year so I can see their church grounds covered in pumpkins!! It means, to me, that FALL is here! Today we went with the Buckleys hoping to get some good pictures. I think we were somewhat successful. I just love going each year. I can remember thinking before I had Myla how much I couldn't wait to have a baby to take to the pumpkin patch to take pictures! Well, this is Myla's 4th year to go and now Selah can join us!! Time flies!
My two FAVORITE pumpkins!!!
Grace, Robbie and Charlie - I feel like I could claim all of them!
The "babies"...we tried and tried to get both of them to smile at the same time, but Selah wouldn't cooperate because...
...she couldn't keep her hands off of Charlie!
Mylarelli with her priceless smile!
Grace Face - LOVE her!
Best Friends - don't you just LOVE their shirts. Our very talented friend, Jaime Lawrence made them. If you live in Oxford, she has a booth at the Mustard Seed...go visit!
"Char Char" as he is affectionately known.
Mommy and her girls...woohoo...they're both looking at the camera!
I love this picture...she looks in such deep thought!
Grace was very proud of her pumpkin selections!
After we left, we had to take Daddy his pumpkin that Myla bought for him. Did she buy me one...NO! Again, both girls are looking at the camera...what a feat!
Tony and Selah. I love this picture because it immediately made me think of the picture below...
...this is Tony and Myla when Myla was a year old! I just love it!
Myla and Erica - Myla LOVES going to Daddy's work to see him as well as his co-workers.
