Vacation Day 2

We left Biloxi around 7:30 Monday morning and finally made it to Ft. Walton! We immediately changed into our bathing suits and went to the pool. Myla loved every minute of it despite the intial frigid temperature of the water!

Myla and Daddy in the pool!! So glad to finally be in the sun.

As I said earlier, this resort was so great for kids. This was a little playground right by the kiddie pool. Myla quickly got acquainted with all the playground animals!

In the boat...

Introducing the Pirate Ship Slide....

Myla might have set a record with the amount of times she slid down this thing! She loved it and would do it over and over and over and over and over again!

Sliding again...

On the way to dinner our first night we saw a beautiful double rainbow. I couldn't get a good picture of it from the car, but we could see the entire thing from end to end over the ocean. It was truly an amazing sight!

Entering McGuire's Pub. There is dollar bills literally covering every square inch of the ceiling. It was crazy. Chad and Lenora said that there is $500,000 on the ceiling and walls.

Vacation Day 3

Another day spent at the pool!

Myla is ready to go and wondering who is going to get her outside!!!

I told you these two loved each other!

Getting some water from the frog to fill up her bucket!

I don't have any pictures from dinner, but believe me when I say I don't think Myla will be upset if we don't go to a hibachi grill again anytime soon. She is not much about the fire and the clanging of spatulas!!!

Vacation Day 4

Myla slept pretty good on the trip. She still got up pretty early, but we couldn't complain about her sleep...especially her 3 hour afternoon naps! She was worn slap out everyday. The pool didn't open until 8, so needless to say we were the first ones out there, and we would have everything to ourselves for about an hour. Anyway, that is why I usually have these pictures from her in the mornings because we were waiting until the pool opened!

"Okay, Mommy, I'm ready for the pool!" -Myla

"Well, baby, don't get up so early, and we won't have to wait in the room before we go!" -Mommy

Ready to jump in the lazy river with Deuce's crab float!

Vacation Day 5

I hated to see our last day come! I felt like we had just gotten there and then it was time to go!
Rope climbing
Enjoying a few more dozen times down the slide.
Playing and playing...
Blowing kisses
On the beach...
She liked the pool much better, but we did play on the beach a few times.
"Hey, where's the pool? This sand gets me all dirty!"
Getting a hand from Daddy.
Shoveling sand
Right before we left to head home! I was so sad!!
Myla telling the pool bye bye!! See you next year!

We decided to travel home at night so Myla would sleep, and it was definitely the best decision! She fell asleep and stayed asleep pretty much the whole way home. We got home about 1:30 a.m.! We are so glad to still have a few days at home over the weekend!
What a great vacation!! Can't wait for May 2010 to be back there!!!!!

Blogging Hiatus...

Well, I guess I have been on a bit of a blogging hiatus. It has not been intentional, we just really have not had a whole lot going on. We have a busy weekend and week ahead though, so I'm sure there will be plenty to update. Today we are headed to Delta State for Mary Jennifer's Nurse Pinning Ceremony. She is done with nursing school, and we are SO PROUD of her! Then on Sunday, we are going on VACATION!! WOOHOO!! We are going to Ft. Walton Beach until next Friday. We are super excited!!! We are meeting some good friends down there, Chad & Lenora Grayson and their two children, Annlee & Deuce. We have been on several trips with Chad and Lenora, and let me just tell you, we have always had a blast! My cheeks are already sore just thinking about how much we will laugh!! Thank the Lord for GREAT friends!
Okay, we'll play catch up when I get back!
