In Aunt Maggie’s Words… “Best Week EVER!”

We were SOOO excited to have Aunt Maggie come stay with us for the week of Thanksgiving!  We made a countdown chain over a month before she came, so we enjoyed taking a ring off each day!

This was the chain with one week to go!!!!

079

The excited came to a head with ONE day left!  Maggie and I texted pictures back and forth through the day with the #1 in the picture!

And another…

YAY!!! She’s finally here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One of my favorite pictures of the week!  Hysterical!  As you can tell, Maggie had company with her everywhere she went!

096

One day we had a “Square” Day!  Maggie really enjoyed Oxford and seeing some of the sites!  This was at Square Books, Jr.

097

We had a detour on our square day for Myla to have her teeth cleaned.  Looks like we need to work on our brushing.

In the big red phone booth!

110

Don’t they look like natural shoppers!

113

They were having a blast!

114

DIVA!

119

Maggie never spends money, so I was so excited that she actually bought something…an adorable purse!

120

Our square day wore Selah out.  She was asleep SOON after we got home!

125

Henry came and stayed one night with us!

140

On Black Friday we continued our tradition of shopping ALL night!!  Here we are in the line waiting to get in Belk!

142

We stopped to refuel and IHOP around 1 a.m.

143

Maggie is such a goober!  Although it was a LONG night, we had so much fun!

Fun on Papa’s Gator before heading to another Thanksgiving dinner!

This is the one picture I got from our Thanksgiving with the Randolph’s, Macy’s family.  I got tickled at Henry because he wanted to sit at the table with the “older” generation!!

It really was one of the BEST weeks having Maggie here!!!!!!  We miss her so much!

I’m stealing Maggie’s montage to share!

Thanksgiving 2012

We had a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving this year!  It was busy, but we had lots of fun!

DSCF1825

Our Thanksgiving season was kicked off with a Thanksgiving feast at Mother’s Morning Out!  This is Selah’s “best fwend, Remi”!  She loves seeing Remi at school when we go, and they are so sweet together!

DSCF1831

Selah rocked the Indian feather hat into the night!

DSCF1833

The Saturday before Thanksgiving we celebrated with the Meurriers!  We couldn’t get over how big “baby Luke” is now!!

Sae Sae had to take a quick break from all of her cooking to give Selah a pedicure

Of course, we had to pick up some pecans!

All the kids love the big dog, Rocco!

We went over to see Mrs. Meurrier’s house. Sadly, it is about to be torn down, so we went over to look at things again.  All of the windows are out, so I got the girls picture in the window sills.

“Rebel” Selah had to stand up  in the window!

Thanksgiving Day, we hosted my family for lunch!  Myla was excited to have everyone there!

DSCF1889

We had a great treat because Tripp and Janan we able to join us.  Tripp is my the son of my mom’s best friend, Lynn.  Lynn passed away almost three years ago, and we don’t get to see Tripp and Janan nearly as often as we like because they live in Washington, DC.

We had to take advantage of the Kodak moment of them being there.

Peyton and Tripp have been friends pretty much their entire lives!  We were neighbors when we were very young.

The kids had an early Christmas from Aunt Be and Uncle Doc!

Henry was excited about his Double 12 Dominoes!

Painting with Sae Sae…

A LONG time ago (yes, I am way behind), Sae Sae took me and the girls painting at The Clay Canvas.  The girls had a GREAT time, and they worked diligently on their pieces.

DSCF1776

Myla was very patient and took great care with all the things she painted.  Sae Sae was a lot more generous than Mommy would have been with how many things she let Myla paint!  :)

DSCF1778

Selah just LOVED playing in the paint.  Her cup had LOTS of coats of paint!

DSCF1779

Happy Girl!

DSCF1780

See what I mean about Selah loving the paint.  She kept saying, “I need just a little bit more, Mommy!”

After painting, Sae Sae treated us to lunch at Soulshine!  YUM!
