The Anatomy of Climbing in the Dryer...

Myla has always loved the laundry room, but she finally figured out how to climb into the dryer. I know "baby in the dryer" pictures are a staple for all baby books, so I knew we needed some too!

Welcome Hurricane Gustav Evacuees...

Our good friends, Joseph and Mechelle Parker and their twin boys Joseph and Jacob, came to stay with us for the past two nights to get away from the hurricane. They live in Hattiesburg, but they didn't want to be without power if it got too bad. You can imagine how busy it has been around here with 3 toddlers! It has been fun, but busy!
They will all be back in a few weekends for a ballgame, so this was a good "trial run"! We have been so glad to see them, since they have moved away from us! We used to see each other every day, so it was quite a change when they moved! We also cannot believe how big the boys are! They are so smart and are talking up a storm.
Myla, Jacob, and Joseph playing on Monday morning.
Sweet JO JO!
Sharing very nicely!
Joseph and Myla thought that putting the mulch from the flower beds on the window ledge was quite fun!
Myla and Jacob playing tractors.
Jacob pushing his tractor through the flower bed.
You can see how worried Joseph was about Gustav!
Mechelle and I braved carrying all the tots into town to get supper! They actually did really well until about 3 miles from the house on the way home. The boys thought it would be fun to have a boxing match with Myla in the middle. I think Myla was a little traumatized, but she recovered quickly!

Fun at Mimi and Bodie's...

After church on Sunday, Michael and I headed to Batesville to pick up our little Munchkin! Here are some pictures from the day.
Henry was sweet to share his popsicle with Myla! She was following him around with her mouth open. It was too funny!
Henry and Myla helped Bodie fill the bird feeders.

Playing in the bird seed.
Henry showing Myla his "pee-khawns" that he found.
Just thought it was cute.

Myla said she had had enough with the birdfeeders. She is on to bigger and betther things. HA!
Henry getting a lift.
Myla loved getting Bodie to spin and open the jack in the box.
This is Myla's new face...scrunching up her face and breathing really hard through her nose. Bodie was doing it too!
Mimi and Myla playing peek-a-boo behind the couch!

Headed to Mimi and Bodie's House...

Saturday morning, we dressed Myla up in her Ole Miss gear in honor of the game. She just looks so big with it on, it just blows my mind!
My mom, Frank, and Sis Sis kept Myla on Saturday night so Michael and I could enjoy some time together and go to the football game. We had a good time, and we were glad that the Rebels won!
Thanks Mimi, Bodie and Sis Sis for taking care of not only Myla, but Henry as well! We love you!

Myla and Henry headed to Mimi's house!

Our Little Backyardigan...

Last Friday night, the weather was so nice that we headed out into the backyard for some playtime. Myla loves to be outside, and this night she found a new, fun thing to do...dig in the dirt! Even though she likes her make-up and jewelry, she doesn't mind getting dirty either!

Daddy showing Myla how to dig in the dirt with a cup.
My handsome husband and beautiful daughter!
"Hey, I think I'm getting the hang of this!"
"Mom, could you quit taking pictures and help me get this dirt out of my eye?" Watching Daddy, Oskie and Tanner chasing each other!
She is having so much fun!
Focused in on Daddy and the doggies!

I LOVE a Bargain....

therefore, I love the Bargain Basket! We have a new, great discount grocery store right across the street from our neighborhood called the Bargain Basket! I love it, and Myla and I have become quite regular shoppers there. I had to share all the groceries that I got for $36 the other day. I know you can't see everything real well, but just take my word for it that I saved a lot of money compared to what I would have paid for it full price! Very exciting when you live on a budget!
